Indonesian Finance Association
Introduction
The Indonesian Finance Association (IFA) is a non-profit organization established to build a strong network between academicians, business environment, and financial experts in Indonesia especially in the field of corporate finance, capital markets as well as banking and financial institutions. In addition, this organization is aimed at improving the quality and quantity of research in finance and banking of Indonesian scholars and practitioners. Moreover, policy recommendations, based on research, to the financial regulators are also expected to provide.
The IFA
The establishment of IFA was initiated by three reputable schools which are the Faculty of Economics of Universitas Indonesia (FE UI), the Faculty of Economics and Business of Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM), and the Faculty of Economics and Business of Universitas Sebelas Maret (FEB UNS). The current President of IFA is Prof. Irwan Adi Ekaputra (FE UI), while the current chairman of the steering committee is Prof. EduardusTandelilin (FEB UGM). The board members of IFA consist of 31 prominent scholars and practitioners in finance. This organization is also supported by 14 international advisors.
